Why it is.
- mechanical limited slip differential.
- lots of chassis bracing over the non-NISMO RS.
- short geared 6spd.
- it has insane Recaro seats.
- 1.6L turbo (218hp/210lb-ft)

Would be hotter if it was a Micra with a turbo instead of a Micra with a turbo, lift kit, and a ton of cladding.

The definition is pretty broad in the US, but this seems almost too crossover to really attain a “hot hatch” title.

Agreed. Too bad they didn’t lower it a bit though...
